This tower has been a prison, a town hall and the alarm clock of an entire village. Since 1705 it has watched the beach and the harbour, and in three centuries it has not missed a single tide.
The prisoners of the time didn't know it, but they were locked up inside what would become the most photographed spot in Luanco. Today it is the official meeting point: “at the Tower” is an address everyone here understands.
